I’ve had a camera since I was about seven-years-old. However, it wasn’t until I was in my late 50’s that I was able to devote sufficient time to my photography.

My favourite subjects are landscape, street and architecture with a leaning towards black and white; I also like to photograph steam trains. A Nikon D700 with a variety of Nikkor lenses is my main camera with a Fujifilm X10 for street work or when I don’t want to lug my Nikon kit around! I also have a small sub-blog where you display images taken with a mobile ‘phone camera and processed wholly on either my iPhone or iPad.

Among my favourite photographers are Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau & Michael Kenna, who I was lucky enough to meet recently.

I am very excited to have been asked by The Photographer’s Society to be a member and I’m looking forward to hunting down and promoting the images from fellow Tumblrians.
